A Good Job Board Covering Forestry, Wildlife & Other Natural Resource Jobs

The Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources at the University of Georgia posts a good job board entitled "Forestry and Natural Resources Jobs Listing."  Some of the job categories in the listing include forestry, wildlife, water & soil resources, natural resources/recreation/tourism, fisheries, GIS/technology, policy/administrative and water & soil resources.  The job board can be viewed at http://jobs.forestry.uga.edu

Environmental Engineering Jobs

Indeed has a good selection of environmental engineering jobs.  Depending on whether you type in "Environmental Engineer" or "Environmental Engineering" you will get two somewhat different listings.  The two listings are the following: www.indeed.com/jobs?q=environmental+engineer&l=worldwide and www.indeed.com/jobs?q=environmental+engineering&l=worldwide.  You can of course type in a more specific location (continent, country, city, etc.) in the right hand box for a more localized job search.

Another Wind Energy Job Directory

I just found another wind energy job directory.  The directory is entitled Wind Industry Jobs and is at http://www.windindustryjobs.com/.  The other wind energy job directory, that I mentioned in a previous post, is part of the WindTurbines.net site and can be viewed at www.windturbines.net/jobs.

I recently received the link for the Conservation Job Board which has job listings for positions based primarily in the USA.  The job listings cover the topics of conservation, ecology, wildlife, forestry, marine biology, fisheries, environmental education, outdoor recreation and additional topics.  The Conservation Job Board's site is http://www.conservationjobboard.com/.

Another Environmental Job Search Engine

Another good environmental job search engine is the Green Job Spider.  So far it appears that most of its listings are for jobs in the USA, but it does list some jobs outside of the USA.  Check it out at http://www.greenjobspider.com/.

New Zealand Antarctic Postgraduate Research Scholarships

Conservation Jobs in Africa

So far I've found two good lists of conservation jobs in Africa.  The first is the African Conservation Foundation's list of jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities in Africa which can be viewed at www.africanconservation.org/jobs.  The second list is Careerjet's listing of conservation jobs in Africa.  Careerjet is a job search engine so it's not always on point, but its list seems to be the best of the search engine lists for conservation jobs in Africa, and it can be seen at www.careerjet.com/search/jobs?s=conservation&l=africa.

A Small List of New Zealand Conservation Jobs

Yesterday while doing Internet research on the external territories of New Zealand I happened upon a small but good list of conservation and environmental jobs in New Zealand.  The name of the site containing the list is New Zealand Conservation Jobs and it can be viewed at http://www.conjobs.co.nz/.  Additional environmental job sites for New Zealand can be viewed near the end of EarthDirectory's New Zealand directory: www.earthdirectory.net/newzealand.

A French Environmental Job Search Engine

Recently I came upon a french environmental job search engine.  Its name is simply Envirojob.fr and it can be viewed at http://www.envirojob.fr/.  Let me know what you think about it, especially if you speak French.

"Indeed" Has Some Good Conservation and Environmental Job Listings

Indeed Job Search has some good conservation jobs listed at www.indeed.com/jobs?q=Conservation&l .  You can also view more environmental and conservation jobs by typing in the words ecology, environment, environmental and wildlife into the "what" box on the indeed site.  You can type these words in separately or altogether and you can experiment with typing in other words covering the specific job area that you're searching in.

Another Good Green Job Listing Service

Today I found another green job listing site.  So far it looks like a good environmental job site.  It's called Green Job Search and can be viewed at http://greenjobs.greenjobsearch.org/.  Check it out and see what you think of it - I randomly checked several of its listings and most of them do qualify as "green jobs."

Jobs at the California EPA

California, with an official population of around 37 million people, is larger geographically & has a larger population than many countries around the world.  Because of its size California has a large EPA which appears to usually have quite a few job vacancies.  These positions can be viewed at www.calepa.ca.gov/Employment/.  The Home Page of the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal/EPA) can be seen at http://www.calepa.ca.gov/.

Environmental, Health and Safety Positions

Two good job boards covering EH&S (environmental, health and safety) job vacancies have just turned up in my research.  These two sites are EHS Careers.com at http://www.ehscareers.com/ and the Job Board & Career Center of The National Association of EH&S Management (NAEM) at http://naem.ehscareers.com/.  You might also check out the official blog of the NAEM which discusses work in the EH&S field: http://greentie.naem.org/.

Some More Good Job Lists

Recently while looking at the New York Times environmental blog which is called "Green" (www.nytimes.com/green), I noticed three good green job lists that I didn't already have in any of EarthDirectory's listings.  These lists are the following: Clean Technology Jobs from Green Techies (http://cleantechjobs.cleantechies.com/a/jobs/find-jobs), the Green Jobs Board from Grist (http://jobs.grist.org/), and Renewable Energy Jobs (http://www.renewableenergyjobs.com/).

Green Job Vacancies at the United Nations

Just the other day I found a good site that lists job vacancies in the United Nations Environment Programme.  The site can be viewed at www.unep.org/vacancies.  The site for the home page of the UN Environment Programme is http://www.unep.org/.  EarthDirectory's directory of UN agencies that are involved with environmental issues can be seen at www.earthdirectory.net/UN.  You can check the "jobs", "employment" or "vacancies" sections of the individual agencies for their available jobs.

An Amazing Global Environmental Job Listing Service

I recently stumbled upon an amazing international environmental job listing service.  Its name is Stopdodo - Global Portal for Environmental Jobs & Resumes.  Its job listings can be viewed in fourteen different major languages.  Stopdodo lists jobs from many different countries and it's apparently establishing several offices around the world.  You can even post your resume on the Stopdodo site for potential environmental job employers to view.

Stopdodo has the tremendous potential of becoming the number one environmental job listing service in the world.  For now, it needs to work on getting many more new listings added every day.  Ideally it would have a minimum of hundreds of new job openings being posted daily.  It also needs to increase it's job categories - for example it apparently has no category covering environmental law jobs (at least I could't find any obvious environmental law category).
